THE 5th ANNUAL SOUTH COAST TOWNS CONFERENCE
From the Medway to the Solent, the challenges and opportunities facing
the towns of England's south coast will once again be highlighted by
a range of key players in the region's economy, infrastructure and development.
The event is designed to give you the chance to learn more about the current and upcoming regional development strategies, the success of specific initiatives and how this can be effectively mirrored across the region. Additionally, we will be highlighting the innovative nature of the English coastal towns and the possibility for this area's participation in the Cultural Olympiad - the four year celebration of regional British culture which will form the build-up to the London 2012 Olympics.
Hosted this year by the University of Brighton in its newly refurbished Sallies Benney theatre, the event will feature a backdrop of projects that reflect the success of the city's lively creative economy and will be a great opportunity for those with a stake in the changing future of our coastal towns. As well as giving you the chance to explore topics such as sustainability, transport development, the ageing social demographic and innovations in urban coastal projects, the day will give you an invaluable opportunity to meet and share ideas and experiences with colleagues and peers who are also contributing to the success of the region.
